Highline Water District (HWD) is accepting applications for a Temporary Seasonal Utility Worker. This temporary position will be assigned to the Maintenance and Operations Department. The successful candidate will perform hydrant maintenance and painting also support regular district employees by assisting with routine maintenance for the offices, grounds, vehicles, as well as courier and flagging services. The temporary assignment will end after 100 days.
This position requires any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be work experience in cleaning and maintaining offices and grounds as well as experience with various hand and power tools. A High School Diploma or GED and a Valid Washington State Driver's License are required. A flagger's certificate is a strong plus. Hourly rate for the Seasonal Utility Worker is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, DOQ.
