$26.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience/full-time

Responsible for but not limited to maintenance and operations of wells, booster pumps, automatic control valves, tanks, sampling sites; associated pumps, motors, controls, valves, distribution system; and water quality monitoring. May be required to work overtime, be on-call and/or work a varying schedule including weekends during emergency situations at the direction of the Manager. Must be able to respond to emergency calls within 45 minutes.
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Washington State Driver's License. Insurance will require a driving record check. Have a Water Distribution Manager 1 (WDM 1) or be able to obtain one within a year from date of hire. At least one year of experience in water maintenance operations or equivalent preferred. Ability to operate a variety of hand, power, and long handled tools and equipment to perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. Ability to perform a wide range of physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment including climbing or descending ladders, working in confined spaces and trenches or atop buildings and reservoirs. This position involves normal risks and physical hazards from mechanical and electrical equipment, traffic and exposure to noise, fumes, chemicals and water under pressure. This position requires strength to lift and carry equipment, tools, parts and supplies as needed. Physical ability to work in and around moving traffic and equipment; in areas of limited access; and confined spaces requiring standing, walking, bending, and kneeling to locate, inspect, maintain, repair and replace water valves and systems. Ability to use all required safety equipment. Must be able to utilize computer hardware and software systems.

This position includes working independently and being able to accomplish work priorities and projects with minimal prompting and supervision. This position directly reports to the Water System Manager.
