We are seeking the next leader for the Water Quality Division to build on a tradition of innovation and excellence.  The new Water Quality Supervisor will continue building for the future with a qualified, motivated, and collegial team at the water treatment plant and wastewater treatment plant.   This individual will serve as the designated operator for the wastewater treatment plant. 

General Position Summary Supervises employees and performs various water quality related duties necessary for the operation and maintenance of a class IV wastewater treatment plant, class III water treatment plant and city pool.

  Minimum Qualifications

 

  ·       Two years of related post high-school education, such as an Associate’s degree in Wastewater Treatment, Water Environment, Water/Wastewater Technology, or a similar field, with seven (7) years of experience in a wastewater operation, two (2) of which are in a supervisory position; or any equivalent combination of the above education and experience.

·       Oregon Class IV Wastewater Treatment Certificate required

·       Possess valid Oregon driver's license or ability to obtain by time of appointment required

  Desired Qualifications

  ·       Further education in a related field

·       Oregon Class II Water Treatment Certificate

·       Basic experience in Emergency Operations Center or small water/wastewater emergency management
