Performs duties in alignment with requirements set forth by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency to protect public health and the environment by ensuring the integrity of the City's wastewater and storm water systems. Inspects, tests, maintains, installs, cleans, and repairs the City’s stormwater collection system. This position requires training and work experience in a job-related field including: journey level skills in underground pipeline work, plumbing, equipment operation, and construction; valid Oregon driver’s license and driving record that meets the standards set by the City of Corvallis; ability to obtain an Oregon Class A Commercial driver’s license, with tanker and air brake endorsements, DEQ Oregon Wastewater Collections Level I certification, ODOT Traffic Control, Confined Space Entry, Forklift Operation, and First Aid and CPR certificates or ability to obtain within one year of hire. This position responds to after-hours calls or emergencies and the incumbent must be able to do so within 60 minutes to the Public Works Administrative offices.
