CUSTOMER RELATIONS SUPERVISOR

Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board is looking for the right candidate to fill the diverse role of Customer Relations Supervisor.  Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board is located on the Southern Oregon Coast where recreational opportunities and beautiful scenery abound, providing a quality living and working environment. The Water Board serves a total customer base of 13,700 accounts.

The Customer Relations Supervisor leads the Customer Service Section under the general supervision of the Finance Director.  The Customer Relations Supervisor exercises full supervision of employees in the Customer Service Section, including office and field personnel; responsible for timely collection of meter reading data, billing, collection and resolution of utility billing issues, field service operations, meter reading, and cross connection program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:  Five years progressively responsible experience in utility bill collection and/or customer service/relations, three years of which included supervisory experience; post high school courses or seminars in business administration, accounting, or customer service may be substituted for one year of experience; graduation from a senior high school or GED.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES:  Must possess a valid driver’s license upon hire and have acceptable driving record; obtain valid Oregon driver’s license within 30 days of hire; Oregon Cross Connection Specialist certification within one year of hire.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge of utility billing practices and procedures, meter reading, water service installation practices, and cross connection regulations; experience creating reports from databases; hands-on computer hardware and software knowledge; Associates degree or higher in business administration, accounting or a related field.
