SALARY: $27.75 - $37.25 Hourly
$4,800 - $6,450 Monthly
OPENING DATE: 06/05/22

OVERVIEW AND MINIMUM CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduation or GED and three (3) months of operating experience (related to the operation of a water treatment facility or drinking water distribution system). Three (3) relevant college credits and/or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) may be substituted for the three months of operating experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, AND/OR CERTIFICATES:
Possess and maintain a State of Washington Water Treatment Plant Operator I Certificate of Competency within 12 months of appointment. Possess and maintain a valid State of Washington Driver's License. Must meet minimum education and experience requirements in the State of Washington Waterworks Operator Certification Program Guidelines for a Water Treatment Plant Operator I Certificate of Competency. Obtaining a State of Washington Water Treatment Plant Operator, I (OIT) Certificate as soon as practicable is encouraged.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, operates and maintains the water treatment plant, wells, pump stations, water systems, appurtenances, and reservoirs and performs related work as required.
