The City of Hillsboro’s Water department has an exciting opportunity for individuals possessing a Oregon Water Treatment Plant Operator I-IV Certification; (preference may be given for higher level of Operator certifications).

This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and work on a team of Operators who provide clean drinking water to over 400,000 people in Hillsboro and all over Washington County.  Safety, teamwork, and communication with our Water Treatment Plant team is our highest priority.

The Water Treatment Plant Operator will be working as a night shift Operator at the Joint Water Commission Water Treatment Plant (JWC). The Joint Water Commission consists of four partners, City of Hillsboro, City of Beaverton, City of Forest Grove and Tualatin Valley Water District.  An Operator is responsible for ensuring the Water Plant continues to meet system demands of the JWC partners.  This conventional Water Treatment Plant is located in Forest Grove, Oregon.  The Water Treatment Plant is currently under construction with an expansion project of 10 million gallons per day, bringing total capacity to 85 million gallons per day.

Pay Range 22 - 26: $55,680 - $85,718 annually depending on qualifications and certification level.

Pay range includes 5% night shift pay incentive. Full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.
