City of Phoenix – Public Works Utility Worker
The City of Phoenix, population 4855, is accepting applications for a Public Works Utility Worker.
Become an integral member of the city’s Public Works Department and help us meet the needs of our growing community. We are seeking an employee to perform skilled and semi-skilled assignments for the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the water distribution system, streets, parks and storm drains.
The ideal candidate will have, at a minimum, 2 years’ experience in a public works field, a water utility/construction field or any combination of the both, with landscape and irrigation maintenance a plus. The ideal candidate must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months from date of hire. Level I water distribution certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire and Level II water distribution certification within 3 years of hire.
Pay range is $17.17 - $21.91 per hour.
