Located ten miles northeast of Interstate 5 and just 8 minutes north of Medford, the City of Eagle Point has been one of the fastest growing communities in southern Oregon, nearly doubling in population since 2000 to a population today of roughly 9,000. As part of the beautiful Rogue River Valley, Eagle Point attracts outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world with world class fishing in the Rogue River, miles of hiking, snowboarding and skiing, snowmobiling, camping, hunting and boating. Eagle Point is known as the "Gateway to the Lakes" and is on the primary route to Crater Lake National Park. Golfing is also a highlight in Eagle Point with the top-tier, world class 18-hole Eagle Point Golf Course, rated as one of the best courses in the state.

Incorporated in 1911, the City of Eagle Point operates under a Council-Administrator form of government. The city is organized into three operating departments: Administration, Police, and Public Works. The Public Works Department includes Engineering, Parks & Facilities, Stormwater, Streets, and Water Distribution.

Working under the general direction of the Public Works Director, the Public Works Supervisor plans, develops, manages, directs, and implements the yearly maintenance and operations of the city’s water system, parks, streets, stormwater, vehicle/equipment maintenance, and city facilities. The Supervisor directs and supervises all of the Public Works staff, including the Lead Worker, Specialists, Technicians, Laborers, temporary staff, and at times contractors.

Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 5 years of general construction/municipal experience with at least 3 years of lead/supervisory experience. Possession or the ability to obtain a valid Oregon Level II Water Distribution Operator Certificate, a valid Oregon Cross Connection Specialist Certificate, and a valid Oregon Commercial Driver License.
