Olympic View Water and Sewer District is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician.  Primary duties include maintenance and repair of water distribution and sewer collection systems. Applicants should have experience and knowledge of practices and procedures used to repair, service, and maintain a variety of district property. The applicant must have demonstrated ability to operate light and medium duty construction equipment and perform heavy manual work. The ability to interact effectively with the public is essential. Work is performed in the field with exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Maintenance Tech 1 Licensing/Certification Requirements: Class B CDL license, Water Distribution Manager 2, Cross Control Specialist, Water Treatment Plant Operator (WTPO) 3, and Wastewater Collection Specialist 2 or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Maintenance Tech 2 Licensing/Certification Requirements: Water Distribution Manager or Water Distribution Specialist, Water Treatment Plant Operator (WTPO) 2, and Wastewater Collection Specialist 1. A current Class B CDL with Tanker and Airbrake Endorsement or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.

A Valid Washington State Drivers license and clean driving record is required. Membership in Union is mandatory. The successful candidate will be placed at the Maintenance Tech 2 or 1 position depending on experience and certifications as determined by the District. Starting salary can be anywhere from $4,468 to $5,909. monthly depending on experience.  The ability to take 24 hour on-call is required.  Full Benefits package offered which includes State Retirement Plan.
