EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Field Operations Manager

Union Hill Water Association is member owned, non-profit water purveyor serving approximately 2080 connections, in unincorporated King County, just east of the City of Redmond and approximately 20 miles east of Seattle. The Association is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, three office personnel and two field personnel.

Wages and Benefits:
 $38.50 - $46.81 per hour depending upon experience/full-time.

The Association currently offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) plan, accidental life insurance, accrued time off (vacation, sick and personal leave,) plus 10 paid holidays and 2 half-day paid holidays.

General Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the daily operation, facilities management, repair and maintenance of both water production and distribution systems. Operations, maintenance, and repairs may include water mains, service lines, wells, reservoirs, fire hydrants, booster stations, and SCADA system. The position reports directly to the General Manager, supervises one full-time employee year-round and summer personnel. In addition to working with the General Manager, the Field Manager works closely with engineers, developers, contractors as well as Association members and the public. Responsibilities of the position include and are not limited to the complete water distribution system repair and maintenance; developing and updating maintenance programs; construction inspection; cross-connection control; responding to SCADA alarms; system repairs; replacement and occasional reading of meters; on-call duty up to two weeks per month; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office Suite, with a solid knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Certified Water Distribution Manager II
  • Certified Cross-connection Specialist (or obtain within 6 months of hire.)
  • 3-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the operations of water distribution and production to include maintaining and repairing systems.
  • 2 years of administrative and supervisory responsibility
  • Thorough knowledge and usage of SCADA systems
